Oil Type Transformers

  • At Alisha, we offer a range of oil type distribution transformers that can alter input and output voltages up to 36 kV, with capacities reaching up to 5000 kVA. These transformers efficiently manage and dissipate heat generated during operation, maintaining optimal temperature levels with the aid of transformer oil. Our transformers are categorized into two primary types: Hermetic and Conservator Tank.

Hermetic Oil Type Distribution Transformers

Alisha’s Hermetic Oil Type Distribution Transformers are available in the range of 25 – 5000 kVA and can handle voltages up to 36 kV. They are designed in both single-phase and three-phase configurations and use oil for natural cooling (ONAN). These transformers are equipped with either idle tap changers or automatic on-load tap changers and are suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations.

Transformers with Conservator Tanks

Our conservator tank transformers share the core and coil structure of hermetic transformers but include a conservator tank designed to accommodate the expansion of transformer oil with temperature variations. These tanks are meticulously calculated and crafted to store the increased volume of oil as it heats up.

Exposed to atmospheric conditions, the oil pressure in conservator tank transformers varies with temperature changes. Air exchanges occur via silica gel (air dryers) that absorb moisture, preserving oil quality. Over time, as the silica gel’s efficiency diminishes, it’s crucial to conduct regular maintenance, such as replacing the silica gel and testing the oil’s puncture voltage.
